No. The core Jerry desktop app is completely free. You can bring your own existing API keys (from OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, etc.) or connect to free local models running on your machine via Ollama or LM Studio. You only pay your AI provider for what you use.
Yes. When connected to a local inference provider like Ollama (e.g. running Llama 3, Qwen, or Mistral on http://127.0.0.1:11434/v1), Jerry operates without any internet access required.
By default, Jerry runs with an explicit "Approval Gate". Whenever an agent requests to click your screen, type a keyboard sequence, or open an application, an interactive approval prompt appears for your confirmation. You can also run inside isolated virtual sandboxes.
All data is saved locally in your user profile under ~/.openmausbot (or %USERPROFILE%\.openmausbot on Windows). Your API keys are encrypted using your operating system's native keychain.
